Because of this chest infection I've been locked indoors - mind you there 's nothing much about the weather - freezing winds, snow, now icy rain - that has made me even want to consider venturing outside. Charlie (who is full of tuna and other treats - thank you to everyone who suggested them, he says! - has been snoozing in his cosy bed all afternoon and Ruby is lying in front of the (as yet unlit) fire, waiting for the Babe Magnet to set a match to the kindling.
