Bob

Dear Braveheart Bob didn't make it. Today we knew that he had had enough and that the only kind thing we could do for him was to let him go.

There was no decision to make - there was no quality of life to preserve.

Now Bob is at peace in the garden he loved. He needed to go and although I already miss him like hell I know we made the right choice
Thank you all for you thoughts and caring.

He was a very fine cat indeed.

I will always remember Bob and his conversations. It won't be the same without him commenting on everything. What a very fine cat.

Hugs to you, the BM, the Offspring, and Sid, Spiffy and Dylan.

Hugs for the whole family. What a wrench this is for you all. Bob was one very lucky cat to have chosen you to be his, and we were lucky you shared him with all of us.

Bob was the best. And I will always cherish the memory of his rumbling rusty purr from beneath the bed and then ON the bed, and then on ME. For such a relatively slender cat, he had a decidedly heavy tread. I guess you would say he made his presence known.

He will be missed. Love to all the family who will have a Bob-sized hole in their lives but wonderful memories in their hearts.

{{{Kate}}}, Very sorry to hear about Bob. Our pets are truly a part of our families and their loss is heartwrenching.

You and your family have such wonderful shared memories of Bob. Even though you will miss him -- you'll always know how much he was loved. He was very lucky to have chosen you.

Thanks for sharing Bob and the wonderful memories with us.

Kate, I'm sorry to hear your news about Bob,it would be easy to say at least you had 18 years but it's never easy when we lose more than a pet,a little member of the family that brought joy and love is hard and will be forever. It does get easier but never easy. I'm sending a huge hug over the Atlantic to you and your family. take care.

Sending you all a huge hug, Kate. Losing a pet who's more of a family member is tough.

There will come a point where you can remember him with smiles more than tears. Hope you reach it swiftly.

Much love

Kate, so sorry to hear about Bob. It's awful to lose a pet that is valued as much as anyone in the family.

Hugs to you all. Hope the other cats don't pine for too long, looking for their brother.

Love and best wishes

I can still see him on the front lawn - sunbathing while we packed the car for Lincoln. And that's where I'll picture him hun.

He had a wonderful home and family and many many many happy years.

A cat can't want for more than he had.

Will give you a hug in person when I see you...

Bless you Kate for giving him such a good home and letting him go - not an easy thing to do by far. And when Trish is done hugging you, it's my turn.

Kate,
My heart goes out to you and the BM. I am so sorry for your loss. Words can never express the sadness one feels when a beloved pet dies, but I always feel that our lives have been enriched by their prescence and their love and that regardless of how much time passes, we never forget the affection and love which our pets gift us with.

My heartfelt sympathies, Kate. Been there, know every heart-wrenching moment - the terrible weight of responsibility to take the decision to do the final most loving thing and yet which breaks your own heart.

Remember all the wonderful memories of a very special cat and all the love.

Thinking of you and the BM.

Love and [[[hugs]]],
Mags xx
