OK - I'll admit it - staying up till after 2 am for four nights in a row, talking with friends, laughing, partying, talking some more, laughing some more - is exhausting.
So to give you a flavour of a very special weekend - here are just a few images of the party and the day before and I'll hope to actually write more later
SATURDAY NIGHT
The restaurant at the White Hart Hotel (if it's good enough for Tom Hanks and the rest of the Da Vinci Code stars, it's good enough for me!) Before the party began
Table decorations - with book covers instead of table nunbers
Guests start to arrive in the Orangery
With the lovely Kate Hardy who organised some truly special surprises for me
from many of the Mills & Boon writers
(Anna Louise Lucia in the background)
With special friend Michelle Reid The Babe Magnet starts off a poetry reading
And guess who came too! (Or should that be Hugh came too?)
Well, it wouldn't have been my party without Hugh-in-a-towel! Here, he's being looked after by Julie Cohen (left) and Kate Hardy and India Grey (right)
The glorious golden roses - 50 of them! - that were part of those surprises
from the M&B authors
Yet more flowers from lovely friends
Keeping the flowers fresh in the hotel bedroom overnight

Chris.
Hey Kate - Congrats! That looked like a "swell party" and I love the idea of the ghost walk, unless I actually had to be on it and sleep afterwards... Anyone else feel like that.?
The Sicilian's Red Hot Revenge sounds fabulous!! But then, your books are fabulous :-)
(I tried emailing, but maybe didn't get through) Many, many congratulations. It was great to meet you in NZ. Fifty big congratulations!

Kate, What a beautiful remembrance of your achievement! Congratulations!
Thank you for having us, Kate - I think I can speak for everyone when I say we all had such a fantastic time. (The poetry reading was hysterical. Your husband and your friends are so talented! And the memories are making me smile on a very grey morning.)
And I'm so glad you liked our surprise!
You looked gorgeous! So happy you had a wonderful time - you deserve it!
It was a wonderful time.
And I enjoyed my few moments with Hugh in a towel...
What a party!
THANK YOU for a perfect weekend Kate-- it really was a truly fitting celebration for fifty fabulous books (and given how much we all love your books, that's saying something!)
Kate, thanks so much for posting the photos! It looks like it was wonderful. From the ghost walk to the roses, to the venue and the friends visiting. I love the idea of book covers as centrepieces at the dinner.
50 books is a wonderful achievement. I'm so glad you've celebrated in style.

Been following your partying with great interest Kate. Looks like you all had a fabulous time and congratulations once again on such a magnificent achievement. I very much look forward to the next 50.
xx
Great pictures, Kate, thanks for sharing, and CONGRATULATIONS again!
What lovely photos! It looks like it was an absolutely fantastic evening--what a treat to have all your friends, family, and fellow writers there.
Thrilled to bits you had such a wonderful celebration party - you deserved every moment of it and all the congratulations. Shame Hugh couldn't be there in person - in towel or otherwise!! He probably wouldn't have escaped with his life, though!!! It sounded like a fabulous weekend and one that has left plenty of memories. It couldn't have happened to a nicer person.
Love,
Mags xx
It looks positively lovely and FUN! What a fabulous way to celebrate!

Don't ever stop writing!
Love you
Karuna
